What is the Garden Peninsula?

The Garden Peninsula is a peninsula 22 miles long extending southwestward into Lake Michigan from Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The peninsula is bordered by Lake Michigan on the east, and by Big Bay de Noc on the west. The top of the peninsula connected to U.S. Highway 2 by M-183, which runs along the westerly edge of the peninsula. The largest settlement is the village of Garden.

The Garden Gazette is a monthly periodical which serves the residents of the Garden Peninsula. The Garden Gazette contains information from recent events, local stories, updates from the parks, the school, and other local organizations. It is a free paper, sponsored by local businesses and The Advisor. It is delivered monthly to each address in the area, inserted inside The Advisor newspaper.
